Dashboard Developer

Role Summary: The Dashboard Developer is responsible for managing the collection, analysis, and visualization of project-related data to support decision-making, planning, and reporting. This role focuses on designing and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and automated systems to track project progress, cost, schedule, and KPIs across all phases of a plant construction project. The role requires close collaboration with planning, cost control, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize project dashboards and interactive visual reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel VBA.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze project data from multiple departments (planning, procurement, construction, quality, safety, etc.).
  • Automate routine project reports and ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Integrate data from project control tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, ERP, SAP, Oracle, EDMS) into dashboards.
  • Ensure that dashboards and reports comply with management requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with planning and cost engineers to standardize project metrics, KPIs, and reporting templates.
  • Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality across all MIS outputs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures for the project.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues or inconsistencies in coordination with data owners.
  • Support ad hoc report generation and analysis requests from management.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in MIS, dashboard development, or project controls roles, ideally within EPC or industrial plant construction projects.
  • Strong exposure to working on mega projects is preferred.
  • Experience integrating data from SAP, ERP, or project management systems.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite like Word, excel, power point, Power Bi.


Skills:

  • Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Excel (advanced level with Power Query / VBA).
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or other project scheduling tools.
  • SQL or other database query languages (basic to intermediate).
  • Familiarity with EDMS, SAP, or construction ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
