1. Develop Self-Service Reports on OBIEE and PowerBI Based on Business Requirements:

Requirements Gathering:

  • Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs and requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops to gather detailed specifications for self-service reports.

Report Design and Development:

  • Design and develop self-service reports using OBIEE and PowerBI, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Utilise advanced features and functionalities of OBIEE and PowerBI to create interactive and user-friendly reports.

Testing and Validation:

  • Conduct thorough testing of self-service reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Validate reports with business users to ensure they meet their needs and expectations.
  • Documentation and Training:
  • Document the development process and create user guides for self-service reports.
  • Provide training to business users on how to effectively use self-service reporting tools.

2. Standardize Recurring Reports and Automate Delivery to Relevant Users:

Report Standardisation:

  • Identify key recurring reports that need standardisation across the organisation.
  • Develop standardised templates and formats for recurring reports to ensure consistency.

Automation of Report Delivery:

  • Implement automated processes for the delivery of recurring reports to relevant users.
  • Utilise scheduling tools and scripts to ensure timely and accurate distribution of reports.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor the performance and accuracy of automated report delivery processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure reports remain relevant and accurate.

User Communication:

  • Communicate with users to inform them of new or updated recurring reports.
  • Gather feedback from users to improve the standardisation and automation processes.

3. Support Business Teams with On-Demand Reports that Meet Ad-Hoc Analytical Needs by Providing the Required Data on the Self-Service:

Ad-Hoc Report Requests:

  • Receive and prioritise ad-hoc report requests from business teams.
  • Assess the scope and requirements of each request to determine the necessary data and analysis.

Data Provision and Analysis:

  • Provide the required data for ad-hoc reports using self-service tools.
  • Conduct data analysis to support business teams in meeting their analytical needs.

User Support and Training:

  • Support business teams in using self-service tools to generate their own ad-hoc reports.
  • Provide training and guidance on how to effectively utilise self-service reporting capabilities.

Feedback and Improvement:

  • Gather feedback from business teams on the effectiveness of self-service tools and ad-hoc reporting support.
  • Implement improvements based on feedback to enhance the self-service reporting experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Computer science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in internal reporting, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing reports within customs, zakat, and tax domains is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in SQL and working with different data warehouse technologies, Teradata experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
  • Experience with data integration and automation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in data analytics or reporting (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, ) are a plus.
