Data & AI Architect – Microsoft Azure

We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Architect – Microsoft Azure to design, architect, and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data and artificial intelligence solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and application teams to translate business requirements into modern cloud-based data and AI architectures that drive insights and innovation.

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience as a Data Architect on Microsoft Azure.
• hands-on experience in AI/ML solutioning in Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.

Technical & Cloud Skills

• Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Tables)
• Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated & Serverless SQL)
• Azure Data Factory
• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Warehouse)
• Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse SQL, and other analytical databases (Snowflake is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure AI, Azure ML, Data Factory, and Cognitive Services.
• Experience building Generative AI applications, including RAG, agents, text2sql, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs, with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end data architecture using Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric
• Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions aligned with business goals and emerging technologies.
• Provide LLM solutions on customer data such as RAG architectures on enterprise knowledge repos, querying structured data with natural language, and content generation
• Design data models, Lakehouse, and data warehouse architectures for structured and semi-structured data
• Architect and govern ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF, Databricks, Synapse Pipelines, and Fabric Data Pipelines.
• Implement data security, governance, and access controls across cloud data platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance and optimized solutions for complex data engineering challenges.
• Experience communicating and/or teaching technical concepts to non-technical and technical audiences alike
