About the team:
Working on consolidating physical source meta-data via tools like Collibra EDGE
Catalog: both business and technical side
Configure new functionalities in Collibra
Develop new Data Catalog capabilities
Develop 3rd party integrations with Collibra, OKTA, Terraform
Administration of the service
Preparing documentation
Preparing and conducting trainings
Customer support and operations
Any other work related to Data Governance rollout and development
Role Description:
You will lead the Data Governance Middleware team, which is responsible for implementing a platform to support the company-wide Data Governance and Data Stewardship program. This will involve using Collibra alongside custom in-house solutions.
The Data Governance Middleware team will implement and provide services, which would enable management of metadata for the Enterprise Data Catalogue, integration layers for various Data Governance components and vendor based solutions. The scope of this team will also include integration with other DMLP internal services, since it needs to become a part of the holistic Data Governance ecosystem to provide seamless user journeys for all kinds of the data platform users.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage people’s performance and wellbeing
Help setting up quarterly and yearly objectives, estimate work, manage team and personal performance
Mentor and coach team members
Improve team routines and processes for better performance based on the state of the team and the service. Make sure the team follows the best practices, learn and adopt
Manage hiring and compensations
Help the team to communicate externally and internally, resolve conflicts
Own end-to-end data and data applications by defining, monitoring and adjusting relevant SLIs and SLOs
Handle, mitigate and learn from incidents in a manner that improves the overall system health
Continuously evolve your craft by keeping up to date with the latest developments in data engineering and related technologies, introducing them to the community and promoting their application in areas where they can generate impact
Become a coordination point around user and data flows in Data Stewardship and Data Governance
6+ years in managing teams of Engineers
4+ years of successful experience managing Business Applications, doing integrations with internal and external services
Self-driven learner, capable to proactively connect with many other teams to understand the user flows and technical integrations
