Position Overview
The Data Analysis and Planning Manager is responsible for managing the exploration data ecosystem, including geological databases, data integration, quality control, and advanced exploration data analysis to support strategic exploration planning and decision-making.
The role ensures that all exploration datasets—including geological, geochemical, geophysical, drilling, and remote sensing data—are captured, validated, integrated, and analyzed to generate high-quality insights that guide exploration targeting and project advancement.
The position plays a key role in transforming exploration data into actionable intelligence, supporting both greenfields exploration and resource development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Exploration Data Management
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate exploration database system.
Ensure accurate capture, storage, validation, and integrity of all exploration datasets.
Establish and enforce data governance protocols, QA/QC procedures, and database standards.
Manage integration of multi-disciplinary datasets including:
o Geological mapping
o Drilling data
o Geochemistry
o Geophysics
o Remote sensing
o Structural data
Ensure proper documentation, metadata management, and version control of exploration data.
Data Analysis & Target Generation
Conduct advanced analysis of geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify exploration targets.
Apply statistical, spatial, and machine-learning techniques where appropriate to support mineral prospectivity analysis.
Generate integrated interpretation outputs including:
o Prospectivity maps
o Target ranking models
o Geochemical anomaly analysis
o Structural and alteration interpretation
Support multidisciplinary targeting workshops.
Reporting and Visualization
Develop dashboards, maps, and analytical reports to support decision-making.
Deliver clear visualizations of exploration results and targets to senior management.
Support internal reporting and external technical reporting where required.
Technology & Systems Development
Evaluate and implement modern data management and analytics technologies.
Improve workflows for data integration, automation, and analytics.
Work with IT teams to maintain secure and scalable exploration data systems.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geo science, Geo informatics, Data Science or Earth Sciences (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in:
o Exploration database management
o Geological data analysis
o Mineral exploration data integration
o Experience working with large multi-disciplinary exploration datasets.
Experience in base metals, precious metals, or critical minerals exploration preferred.
