Role: Data Analyst
Experience: 1–4 years
Location: Adajan-Pal, Surat, Gujarat
Salary Range: ₹30,000–40,000

Role Overview

Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing manufacturing and quality-control data to support decision-making in production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Database Management
  • Collect data from production machines, ERP systems, inventory logs, and quality inspection reports.
  • Create and maintain structured databases or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Data Cleaning, Preprocessing & Validation
  • Address missing values, duplicates, inconsistencies, and formatting issues.
  • Perform validation checks to maintain data integrity.
  • Analysis & Insight Generation
  • Calculate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield rate, cycle time, defect counts, and process efficiency.
  • Use SQL and/or Python to query datasets and identify patterns, anomalies, and trends.
  • Report & Dashboard Development
  • Develop dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to display key metrics and trends.
  • Automate recurring reports and prepare ad hoc summaries for management.
  • Process Improvement Support
  • Analyze bottlenecks and quality issues and propose data-based improvements.
  • Work with quality and production teams to support defect detection and process optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with production engineers, quality supervisors, and analysts to define data requirements.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation
  • Stay informed on analytics tools and industry practices.
  • Explore opportunities to automate data collection and reporting processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce/Economics, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • SQL: Basic queries, joins, and aggregations.
  • Excel/Google Sheets: Advanced functions including pivot tables, charts, and formulas.
  • Visualization Tools: Power BI or Tableau.
  • Programming (preferred): Python or R for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy).

Analytical & Communication Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to understand manufacturing processes and work collaboratively.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing or quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or data entry environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
