Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in the Healthcare domain, particularly in systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with data modelers, architects, and cross-functional teams to design, document, and enhance enterprise data models aligned with IBM UDMH (Unified Data Model for Healthcare). This role demands deep analytical expertise, data governance awareness, and technical proficiency in data modeling tools and ETL scripting.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling & Design:
* Collaborate with data modelers to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on IBM UDMH standards.|
* Extend existing IBM UDMH models to support Ascension’s custom business requirements.
* Ensure alignment with data modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata management protocols.
* Document source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and model definitions comprehensively.

Data Analysis & Profiling:
* Conduct data profiling and analysis across healthcare systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI.
* Assess and document data granularity, quality, volume, and update frequency.
* Identify data inconsistencies, propose data quality improvements, and assist in data integration processes.

Collaboration & Documentation:
* Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to define subject-area models.
* Maintain accurate metadata repositories and enforce data governance practices.
* Prepare clear documentation for data dictionaries, lineage reports, and transformation logic.

Tool Usage & Technical Skills:

* Utilize ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner for data modeling and design.
* Leverage SQL, Python, and Unix for ETL scripting, data extraction, and transformation.
* Work with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure for data storage and processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Data Modeler in the Healthcare domain.
* Strong understanding of healthcare data models, EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, Athena), and IBM UDMH.
* Proficiency in data modeling tools (ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner).
* Advanced SQL and Python skills for data analysis and ETL scripting.
* Familiarity with data lakes, cloud data warehouses, and big data ecosystems (Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark).
* Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management tools.
* Exposure to clinical, financial, or operational healthcare data.
* Certification or training in IBM UDMH, EPIC, or Cerner data architecture.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 - 12 months

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
