We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst to join our team in the HVAC wholesale distribution industry. This role is critical in transforming operational and financial data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, profitability, and strategic growth across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in building visualizations and analytical models that support decision-making across departments—including operations, sales, finance, HR, and purchasing—and will play a key role in supporting customer rebate and rewards programs through accurate calculation and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Phocus, Power BI) to track key metrics across departments.
- Automate recurring reports and provide timely ad hoc analysis to support decision-making.
- Maintain departmental KPIs in Ninety.io and generate compliance or census reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze customer behavior, product performance, and sales trends to identify growth opportunities and support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with sales and pricing teams to improve margins, optimize promotions, and enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor inventory trends and evaluate purchasing opportunities to support procurement and pricing strategies.
- Analyze customer payment patterns and provide financial data to support AR/AP processes and cash flow forecasting.
- Conduct cost and profitability analysis across branches to identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.
- Provide insights into order fulfillment timeliness, delivery cost drivers (e.g., order size, distance), and freight recapture (vendor vs. customer charges).
- Support labor planning by forecasting staffing needs based on order volume and service levels.
- Evaluate data from internal tools like Zendesk and JU Online to improve support and training effectiveness.
- Calculate and track customer rebate and reward program performance based on program terms and activity.
- Coordinate with finance and sales to ensure accurate and timely rebate payments.
- Analyze program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy across ERP and BI platforms.
- Use BI tools to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Adhere to data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field or;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a BI or Data Analyst role
- Proficiency in Excel and BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Phocus, etc.).
- Strong understanding of sales, operations, and financial processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The selected candidate must have a valid drivers license, pass a drug test and background check.
