At Corporate Research and Investigations Limited (CRI Group), the Data Analyst plays a critical role in turning complex datasets into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making across the organization. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining analytical reports, dashboards, and data models while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and adherence to BI best practices. The role is ideal for individuals with strong technical proficiency in data analytics, BI tools, and data management who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data models, ensuring performance and usability across reporting solutions.
- Execute ETL processes and data transformations using Power Query, SQL, and Python to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Develop advanced Power BI dashboards with DAX calculations, custom visuals, and optimized reports for business insights.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and performance tuning for efficient data extraction.
- Automate data processing, reporting, and analysis workflows using Python and Excel VBA/macros.
- Perform rigorous data validation, quality checks, and performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
- Adhere to data governance standards and BI development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Support management in data-driven decision-making by providing actionable insights and trend analyses.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, custom visuals, and report optimization
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and query optimization
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros, and VBA
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling
- Understanding of data governance, validation, and quality assurance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst, BI Expert, BI Developer, or similar technical data analytics role is preferred
Reporting Line:
- Reports to Investigative Analyst / QA Analyst / Assistant Manager Investigations / Manager Investigations / HOD Investigations
