Job Purpose
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization. This role combines analytical depth with strong engineering discipline—designing high-quality dashboards, building scalable data pipelines, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of the datasets that power business reporting. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical rigour, business understanding, and a commitment to delivering insights that are trusted, timely, and impactful.

Conduct exploratory and deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, anomalies, operational inefficiencies, and commercial opportunities.

Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches, delivering insights that influence decisions and outcomes.

Produce accurate, well-documented outputs for ad hoc requests, ensuring clarity, traceability, and timely delivery.
Dashboards & Reporting (Power BI)

Design and develop intuitive, high-performance Power BI dashboards that communicate insights clearly and effectively.

Establish reusable reporting assets (semantic models, DAX measures, templates, definitions) to drive consistency and reduce duplication.

Promote self-service analytics by ensuring dashboards are well-labelled, documented, and easy for business users to navigate.
Data structures & automation

Build and maintain automated data pipelines and curated datasets that support scalable, repeatable analysis and reporting.

Clean, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in business outputs.

Optimise SQL queries, data models, and transformation logic for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Stakeholder engagement

Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate assumptions, and priorities work based on business value.

Present insights in a clear, structured manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating analysis into actionable recommendations.

Act as a trusted partner to business teams, helping them understand data, interpret trends, and make informed decisions.

Technical Expertise

4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.

Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying, data modelling, and performance optimization.

Strong Power BI expertise: data modelling, DAX, dashboard design, performance tuning, and usability best practices.

Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytical workflows (e.g., pandas).

Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is preferred.
