Role Overview
HealthView Services (HVS) is seeking a technically strong, business‑oriented Data Analyst to help shape and scale our retirement‑centric healthcare cost analytics. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytical modeling, and business insight, supporting product development, research initiatives, and client‑facing deliverables.
The Data Analyst will work with large, complex healthcare and retirement datasets to validate data integrity, develop and test analytical logic, and translate quantitative findings into clear, actionable insights for internal teams and external stakeholders. This role partners closely with Software Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership, contributing directly to product accuracy, market differentiation, and strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep familiarity with HVS proprietary healthcare and retirement datasets, including structure, sourcing, assumptions, and limitations
- Analyze, validate, and QA analytical outputs across current and future products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and defensibility
- Design, implement, and test analytical logic and algorithms in partnership with Software Engineering
- Evaluate new data sources, methodologies, and assumptions to improve data quality and analytical robustness
- Produce clear documentation, reporting, and visualizations to support product development, research initiatives, and client deliverables
- Translate complex analytical concepts into concise explanations for technical and non‑technical audiences
- Support ad‑hoc and recurring analytical requests for product, sales, marketing, and leadership teams
- Apply data‑driven thinking to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities within the retirement healthcare landscape
Qualifications – Core Expectations (Required)
- 3+ years of professional experience working with complex datasets in an analytical, data, or quantitative role
- Experience using Python, C#, or a comparable programming language for data analysis, automation, or analytical logic
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivots, logical analysis, data validation)
- Solid foundation in analytical reasoning, statistics, and quantitative problem‑solving
- Ability to independently assess data quality, identify inconsistencies, and propose solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Qualifications – Nice to Have (Differentiators, Not Required)
- Experience with healthcare, health insurance, or Medicare‑related data
- Familiarity with retirement savings products (401(k), IRA, decumulation strategies, etc.)
- Knowledge of Social Security benefits or retirement income planning concepts
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and transforming data
- Exposure to cloud‑based data environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Background in statistical modeling, forecasting, or actuarial concepts
- Accounting or financial analysis experience supporting regulated or data‑intensive products
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
