Position Overview
The Data Analyst / Data Analyst II is responsible for collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and interpreting data to deliver actionable insights that support informed decision‑making across the organization. This role combines strong execution skills with solution‑ and insight‑focused thinking, partnering closely with service, support, sales, and leadership teams to translate business questions into meaningful analytics.
This will be the first dedicated Data Analyst hire and reports directly to a Vice President, offering high visibility and influence. A large portion of the work will focus on CRM and Salesforce analytics, including building and maintaining dashboards, tracking trends, and producing business‑specific reporting. Because the data and use cases are highly specific to the business, there will be a learning curve—strong curiosity, adaptability, and collaboration are essential. Personality and culture fit are critical, and leadership consistently prioritizes candidates who align well with the team.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Quality Management
• Extract, monitor, validate, and maintain data from CRM systems (Salesforce), databases, and field sources
• Transform raw data into usable, reliable formats to support reporting and strategy
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies
• Implement data quality controls, validation rules, and monitoring processes
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive insights from complex datasets
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable outputs
• Provide proactive, data‑backed recommendations
Reporting, Visualization & Communication
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Salesforce
• Create clear, visually compelling dashboards and presentations for leadership and operations
• Tailor reporting for different audiences and use cases
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations in business‑friendly terms
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with service, support, sales, and leadership teams
• Support both internal and customer‑facing reporting needs
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, fully onsite environment

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
• OR 3+ years of demonstrated, applied data analysis experience
• Analytics or data‑related certifications are a plus
Experience
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and data visualization
• CRM and Salesforce experience strongly preferred
• Experience supporting customer‑facing or service‑oriented teams preferred

Technical & Business Skills
• Proven experience with data collection, validation, maintenance, and analysis
• Strong proficiency with BI tools and reporting platforms
• Experience with Salesforce dashboards, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and relational databases
• Solid understanding of statistics, trend analysis, and anomaly detection
• Ability to write clear, reusable analytical and technical documentation
• Exposure to machine learning or data mining techniques is desirable

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
• Base Salary: $58,000 – $70,000 (Data Analyst I or II; preference for Analyst II)
• Annual Christmas Bonus: Equivalent to one month’s pay (prorated)
