Overview:
Location: Hybrid – Albany, NY
Salary: $105,000 - $120,000

We are seeking a Data Analyst who will support our client with data reporting, analysis, and quality assurance initiatives. This position will focus on writing SQL queries, analyzing structured and unstructured data, developing reports and dashboards, and translating findings into clear business insights. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with 3+ years of data or business analysis experience, proficiency in SQL and reporting tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Duties:

• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting and analysis
• Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Excel or Tableau
• Translate analytical findings into business insights and requirements
• Document analytical approaches, assumptions, data sources, logic, and analytical methodologies
• Support both technical and non-technical stakeholders in understanding data outputs
• Align business needs with data solutions and reporting capabilities

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles
• 3+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements and processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• 3+ years experience in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy programs, Medicaid, Long-Term Care (LTC), or EVV environments
• Experience developing SOPs and operational documentation
• Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, or ETL processes
• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or data analytics certifications)
