Data Analyst - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Data Analyst - 1st Shift at our Dallas, TX facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.

What you’ll do:

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support business decision making. This role transforms complex datasets into actionable insights, dashboards, and reporting that drive operational efficiency and strategic planning.

In this function, you will:

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze operational, financial, or supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and scorecards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL-based platforms.
  • Develop visualizations that communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Business Support
  • Partner with operations, finance, supply chain, and leadership teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Provide data-based recommendations that drive process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
  • Support KPI development, tracking, and performance management.

Data Management
  • Maintain data integrity across systems, ensuring standardization and quality.
  • Document definitions, data flows, and reporting methodology.
  • Assist with data governance activities and continuous improvement of data processes.

Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Support cross-functional projects by delivering data modeling, scenario analysis, and problem-solving support.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that streamline reporting and reduce manual work.
  • Assist in developing business cases for operational or strategic changes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in distribution, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate data into business insights and communicate clearly.
