This is a full-time position based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, enhance project efficiency, and support our commitment to green building practices. You will be responsible for analysing complex datasets to identify trends, create comprehensive reports, and help shape the future of our construction processes.
Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, and interpret data from a variety of sources, including project management systems, financial records, and environmental impact reports.
* Analyse large datasets to identify significant trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimisation.
* Develop and maintain clear and effective dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to understand their data requirements and provide analytical support.
* Present complex data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all company platforms and reporting.
* Contribute to forecasting and modelling efforts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
Qualifications
* Proven professional experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
* Experience with a statistical programming language, such as Python or R, is highly advantageous.
* Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
* A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics.
* A genuine interest in the construction industry and sustainability is considered a strong asset.
