Data Analyst (Journeyman)

Supporting CPE C2IN SEPM

Location: APG, MD
Security Clearance: Secret

Salary: 75K-130K; Commensurate with Education/Experience

The Role
As a Journeyman Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting complex datasets to drive strategic decisions within a DOD environment. You’ll act as a primary technical resource, identifying trends, optimizing data collection systems, and ensuring statistical efficiency. This role requires the ability to perform all functional duties independently, from "cleaning" code to developing high-level reporting strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze & Report: Use statistical techniques to interpret data and provide actionable reports.
  • Optimize Systems: Develop and implement databases and data collection systems to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Data Maintenance: Acquire data from primary/secondary sources and maintain robust data systems.
  • Trend Identification: Isolate patterns in complex datasets to support operational goals.
  • Quality Control: Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to resolve code-level issues.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience: 3 to 10 years of Data Analysis experience specifically within a DOD environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
    • Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Clearance: Active Secret security clearance.
