Summary
The Data Analyst Co-op will be responsible for supporting programs and departments throughout the organization by gathering, verifying, formatting and visualizing data for the business to gain insight and improve decision making. They will work closely with internal and external customers and management to develop and deploy data analysis and statistical analysis strategies to improve overall performance of the business. The focus of the Data Analyst is to assess data quality, correlation, and identify/interpret trends or patterns in large complex datasets representing the performance of the business. The Data Analyst must then communicate the results of their analysis to the relevant stakeholders in order for the information to be actionable by the stakeholders for performance assessment and/or improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Understand the links between data, processes, systems, and people, including the full lifecycle of data creation, data quality, data analysis, visualizations and reporting.
Assess data quality, correlation, and analyze and interpret trends or patterns in large, complex datasets.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Junior or Senior standing) or a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
Familiarity with business and statistical concepts (descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, regression analysis, KPI, OKR).
Familiarity with overall data concepts (data warehouses, ETL, modeling, cloud, security, and compliance).
Able to code, perform unit testing, handle errors, and manage version control (SQL, Python, R, VBA, Power Query, and Git).

Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely used standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
