Job Description - Data Analyst
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data dashboards for Corporate Channels at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of handling and summarizing large datasets, conducting complex data comparisons, and creating actionable usage dashboards and live reporting solutions. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Head of Channels and relevant team members to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful analytics that drive business decisions and strategy execution. This role requires strong technical experience with industry-standard data analytics and visualization tools, as well as a solid background in banking, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and live reporting tools for Corporate Channels, ensuring high standards of accuracy and usability.
- Aggregate, clean, and analyze large volumes of complex data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Perform data comparisons and usage analyses across different products, segments, and time periods to enable strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Product Management, and Operations, to gather requirements and ensure data solutions align with business needs.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc performance and usage reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing key metrics, KPIs, and findings.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in all reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Document data sources, methodologies, processes, and results to promote transparency and repeatability.
- Continuously monitor dashboard performance, optimize data pipelines, and recommend improvements based on user feedback and business requirements.
- Support the Head of Channels in key business reviews and presentations by providing timely and relevant analytics.
- Stay up to date with technological developments in data analytics, dashboarding, and banking analytics best practices.
- Responsible for delivering robust, user-friendly dashboards and live reporting solutions for Corporate Channels as per project and business requirements.
- Must possess practical knowledge of data analytics methodologies and best practices, including AGILE and traditional project approaches as relevant.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly analytical, and possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate complex analytical tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Baseline skills expected include Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Business Knowledge, Project Management, Testing, Process Flow Documentation, and KPI Reporting.
- Hands-on experience in generating use cases ,user stories, user journeys, and comprehensive documentation for analytics processes and dashboards.
- The Data Analyst will report to the Head of Channels.
- Key decisions with significant impact on data reporting and dashboarding activities are referred to the Head of Channels for approval before implementation.
- The job holder will exercise decision making within the boundaries established by the project and departmental guidelines, particularly regarding data handling, presentation, and reporting formats.

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in banking, with a strong focus on data analytics, dashboarding, and reporting for Corporate Channels.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and summarizing large datasets, performing data comparisons, and delivering usage dashboards and live reporting solutions.
- Solid knowledge of banking sector practices and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in industry-leading analytics and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MS Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar).
- Strong understanding of customer experience design and user experience principles in digital and data products.
- Experience in working collaboratively with business, IT, and operational teams to translate business requirements into actionable analytics.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a proven track record of successful analytics or dashboarding project delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently deliver high-quality results within strict deadlines.
