Data Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst – FP&A to support financial planning, reporting, and business analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in BI reporting, dashboard automation, SQL-based data analysis, and financial analytics, preferably within telecom, banking, or financial services environments.

Responsibilities:

• Independently extract, validate, and manage data from multiple source systems including telecom platforms (BSS/OSS), Data Warehouses, and business applications.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau for financial and commercial KPIs.
• Automate recurring reports and MIS processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
• Perform detailed analysis on customer, revenue, usage, and cost data across different business segments.
• Conduct segmentation, cohort analysis, profitability analysis, and customer lifetime value (LTV) analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and identify business risks, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial planning cycles through data modelling and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to deliver ad-hoc reports, insights, and analytical support.
• Enable self-service reporting and data accessibility for cross-functional teams.
• Support strategic initiatives including cost optimization, Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB), and revenue growth analysis.

Requirements:

• Strong command over SQL
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
• Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in financial reporting and business analytics
• Experience in Telecom, Banking, Financial Services, or Consulting domains
• Exposure to telecom systems such as BSS/OSS and DWH environments
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
• Understanding of statistical and analytical methods
• Experience working on finance-related projects including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analytics
