Job Summary


The Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to support strategic decision-making across commercial, supply chain, and marketing functions. This role will play a key part in building dashboards, improving reporting processes, and unlocking insights that drive business performance. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate reporting, enhance data accuracy, and provide actionable insights that improve business efficiency.



Key Responsibilities


• Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using SQL to support recurring dashboards and ad hoc analysis.

• Design, build, and maintain dynamic dashboards and visual reports using Power BI (mandatory), incorporating DAX and Power Query.

• Automate daily, weekly, and monthly reports using Python and SQL, ensuring timely and accurate visibility of KPIs.

• Develop and maintain dashboards for sales performance, target achievement, supply chain metrics, and growth tracking across multiple business dimensions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Production) to identify data needs and translate them into meaningful insights and reports.

• Build analytical models for route optimization, production forecasting, and sales commission calculations, contributing to cost reduction and productivity improvement.

• Monitor and report on key business metrics including sales performance, distribution, inventory turnover, and trade promotion ROI.

• Conduct data validation, quality checks, and discrepancy resolution to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.

• Support business reviews, planning cycles, and commercial performance discussions with data-driven insights.

• Collaborate with IT and database teams to enhance data availability, structure, and integrity.

• Contribute to data pipeline automation and efficiency improvements for recurring reporting tasks.

• Identify and analyse lost sales opportunities through data visualization to support commercial decision-making.



Required Skills & Tools


• SQL (Intermediate to Advanced) – for querying, transforming, and optimizing data from large relational databases.

• Power BI – expertise in DAX, Power Query, and dashboard publishing.

• Python – for automation, forecasting, and data transformation.

• Advanced Excel – for ad hoc reporting and analytical tasks.

• Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills – able to turn data into clear business insights.



Preferred Skills


• Familiarity with QGIS or Geospatial Analysis.

• Understanding of forecasting models and KPI automation.

• Experience working with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SalesBuzz).

• Background in FMCG, Retail, Sales, or Field Operations analytics.

• Arabic language skills (preferred but not mandatory).



Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role, preferably in FMCG or Retail industries.
