Data Analyst (Healthcare and Subscription)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst to drive data-informed decision making across our healthcare and subscription products, with a focus on telehealth and telemedicine. This role partners with Product, Growth, Clinical, and Engineering teams to analyze funnel performance, design and evaluate experiments, measure subscription metrics (LTV, CAC, churn), and build reporting and models that inform strategy while maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices.
This is an ideal role for a Senior Data Analyst who wants to apply more Data Science techniques, or a Junior Data Scientist who enjoys being close to business outcomes. This is an on-site role in Austin, TX for someone who genuinely values in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Subscription and Telehealth Analytics

Own analysis and reporting for subscription and telehealth products, including LTV, CAC, churn, retention, and cohort analysis.

Develop KPI frameworks and partner with stakeholders to define and track core metrics.
Experimentation and Statistical Analysis

Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and experiments across product and marketing funnels.

Apply statistical methods including hypothesis testing, regression, and confidence interval analysis.
Predictive Modeling and Data Science
-
Build predictive models (regression, classification, random forest, etc.) to forecast retention, identify churn drivers, and segment users.

Develop explanatory models to help teams understand customer behavior.
Dashboards and Self-Serve Analytics

Build and maintain dashboards in Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Sigma.

Ensure reporting is accurate, intuitive, and actionable for non-technical stakeholders.
Data Engineering Collaboration

Write performant SQL for Snowflake or BigQuery and maintain transformations using dbt.

Partner with Data Engineering to ensure reliable pipelines, clean data models, and a trustworthy source of truth.

Contribute to reproducible analytics workflows using Git and Docker-based environments.
Data Storytelling and Communication

Translate complex analyses into clear insights for non-technical teams.

Present findings that drive prioritization, product strategy, and marketing decisions.
Governance and Compliance

Ensure analytics work adheres to HIPAA, privacy, and data governance standards.

Maintain high data integrity across clinical and patient datasets.
Ad Hoc and Cross-Functional Support

Conduct ad-hoc analyses, develop metric definitions, and support attribution and monetization initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's preferred).

3+ years in a hands-on analytics role (healthcare, telehealth, or subscription experience preferred).

Expert-level SQL and experience with Snowflake or BigQuery.

Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and experience with scikit-learn or R.

Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation, and regression analysis.

Experience building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Sigma.

Familiarity with subscription metrics (LTV, CAC, churn) and funnel analytics.

Experience with dbt, Git-based workflows, and modern analytics engineering practices.

Advanced Excel skills and the ability to translate analysis into clear business recommendations.

Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.

Excellent communication skills and a bias toward action and measurable impact.
