JOB OVERVIEW


Function Overview


GIC Sales Strategy & Intelligence team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities – Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer, pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Purpose of the role


The Role will be responsible to support the business teams across categories and retailers in the Latin American & Carribbean Distributor Markets. The team member will complete several key responsibilities such as trade reconciliation, basic analysis and turn-key reporting.


The role encompasses data mining from multiple sources/tools to data harmonization to visualization combined with robust quality audit and documentation.

Brand Management:
  • Innovation set up activities – pricing approval processes (feasibility – PIE), sku creation.
  • Selling sheets in English and Spanish
  • Keep updated portfolio info by country: Product Planning Letters, Tech sheets
  • Track competition activities, Online Competition and Ecommerce
  • Nielsen and market data reports and analysis
  • Finance analysis tools

Trade Marketing – Distributor processes:
  • Budget tracking and systems: Purchase Orders’s (PO) and Purchase Agreement’s (PA) creation and tracking, Accruals monitoring
  • Distributor investment tracking
  • Distributor portal admin (content, grant access, train users)
  • NAR innovation summaries

Marketing Operations:
  • Vendors creation
  • Product samples requests
  • A&CP planning and tracking
  • Digital platforms management (communication calendar, assets to agencies)
  • Innovation mapping and tracking (PMR summary by month)
  • Launch plans checklist and calendars

Technical Expertise

  • Actively learn and apply intermediate/advanced level of expertise in MS Excel, SAP etc.
  • Undergo trainings: As recommended and self-initiated refresher trainings to keep abreast of tool dynamics and their functional as well as tactical applications

  • Ensure TAT is upheld via awareness on process requirements, meeting benchmark time estimates and through articulate expectation settings with the stakeholder

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Preferred Degree Requirements: Bachelors/Masters; Spanish Language Expert
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Any Stream (preferably Marketing, Business Management, Statistics, Retail)


Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

  • 100% bilingual (Spanish & English).
  • Strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Passion for marketing and keeping up with industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain close attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in Brand Marketing / Trade Marketing / Category Management from Global Consumer Goods /FMCG Industry.
  • Strong self-management, can-do attitude to be able to work remotely with multi-functional, multi-cultural teams.
