Data Analytics / Predictive Maintenance Specialist

PEMCCO is seeking a Data Analytics / Predictive Maintenance Specialist to support the development and implementation of data‑driven solutions for track performance monitoring, predictive maintenance, and degradation analysis. This role translates inspection, maintenance, and engineering data into actionable insights that improve prioritization, forecasting, dashboard reporting, and asset decision‑making.

In support of transit clients, our teams provide multidisciplinary support across trackwork engineering programs, including field inspection, data analytics, construction coordination, and capital program support functions. Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze track and asset performance data to identify trends, degradation patterns, anomalies, and actionable engineering insights.
  • Support development of predictive maintenance models, deterioration curves, prioritization logic, and decision-support tools for rail assets and associated infrastructure.
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting products for engineering, maintenance, and management audiences.
  • Support data mining, integration, and validation across inspection data, maintenance history, work orders, and asset inventories.
  • Assist with AI/ML-enabled analytics initiatives where appropriate to improve forecasting, anomaly detection, or maintenance planning.
  • Support creation, enhancement, and organization of engineering databases related to track assets and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure field realities are accurately reflected in analytic outputs.
  • Translate technical data outputs into concise findings for reports, briefings, and decision-support memoranda.
  • Support performance indicator development tied to ride quality, defect recurrence, maintenance cycles, and renewal prioritization.
  • Help maintain data quality, documentation, and repeatable analytics workflows across the team.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Asset Management, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5)+ years of experience in analytics, asset management, engineering data, or predictive maintenance support.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and converting them into practical reporting outputs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with engineering, maintenance, and inspection stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to support secure handling of project data and systems access requirements.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Ability to support field reviews and targeted technical investigations when required.
  • Ability to obtain project access credentials and support stakeholder briefings as needed.

Compensation

  • $50 – $84 per hour, depending on Experience, Analytics Stack, and Infrastructure Experience
