The Global Dealer Engagement Measurement team is looking for a highly analytical and adaptable Data and Reporting Specialist to join our team. This crucial role will be used to use advanced analytical techniques and innovative technologies to analyze customer feedback from various global dealer surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sentiment analysis, statistical methodologies, and data visualization, combined with proven experience using industry-leading software. This role will be instrumental in identifying trends, improving customer satisfaction, and enhancing the overall Ford brand experience.


You'll have...

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, with a proven record of successfully designing, implementing, and analyzing satisfaction surveys, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and VBA scripting.
  • 2+ years of project management experience

Even better, you may have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with SaaS applications; preferably Qlik Sense, Medallia, and Smartsheet's.
  • Proven ability to use AI, LLMs, and ML techniques for data analysis, sentiment analysis, and prompt engineering
  • Administrator certification with Medallia
  • Project management certification
  • Familiarity with other survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well-defined.
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to peers, management, and business audiences.
  • Well-organized, self-starter, independent, and ready to work with minimal supervision.
  • Work experience in the automotive industry is a big plus, as is experience in procurement, coordination, or program management function.
  • Experience working within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do...

  • Survey Design and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement dealer surveys using proper methodologies. This includes defining objectives and crafting clear, concise survey questions.
  • Data Acquisition and Management: Gather and organize data from multiple sources, including dealer surveys (Medallia), Microsoft Forms, and internal databases. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the process. Proficiently manage large datasets within several repositories.
  • Sentiment Analysis: Employ advanced sentiment analysis techniques, including rule-based approaches, Ford Ngram Library Proprietary Tool, machine learning (ML) models, and Large Language Models (LLMs), to analyze textual data and identify prevailing sentiments (positive, negative, neutral) towards Ford products, services, and dealerships.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Use excel and Qlik Sense to perform in-depth analysis of survey data, identifying key trends, patterns, and correlations. Leverage AI and ML to uncover insights that might not be readily apparent through traditional methods. Utilize advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, cleaning, and reporting.
  • Report Generation and Presentation: Create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports summarizing findings, highlighting key insights, and presenting actionable recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and dealer performance. Effectively communicate complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve survey methodologies, data analysis techniques, and reporting processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and reduce waste.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various teams (e.g., Community, DEI, Systems and Processes, Global Dealer Round Table, and Global Market leads) to share insights, collaborate on action plans, and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Project management: Create a project management tool to track projects including key milestones, make adjustments to prioritize. Be the steward of the tool to establish dates and track progress, to define requirements and goals with business owners, and ensure resources are allocated to support the projects.
