Project description

We are seeking a hands-on and visionary Data Architect to join the Data & AI team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing enterprise-grade data architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Pipelines, and Notebooks, while driving data integration across enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Platform Design

Architect and implement enterprise data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Fabric Pipelines, Notebooks, and Power BI.

Define and maintain end-to-end data architecture blueprints, encompassing ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.

Establish data modelling standards, metadata management, and lineage tracking frameworks.

Design scalable data pipelines integrating diverse data sources and systems across the organization.

Enterprise & Application Integrations

Lead technical discussions for new data source onboarding and application integrations across business units and applications.

Collaborate with enterprise architects to define integration patterns using APIs, events, and microservices for seamless data exchange.

Ensure interoperability between AI Solutions, ERP, CRM, and bespoke enterprise applications.

Data Strategy & Governance

Contribute to defining data strategy roadmaps supporting digital transformation initiatives.

Manage data governance stream to enforce data quality, cataloging, and compliance frameworks.

Drive data standardization and harmonization across platforms to enable enterprise-wide analytics.

Implementation & Delivery

Translate business requirements into technical blueprints and lead solution design across engineering squads.

Oversee implementation of Fabric-based pipelines and notebooks, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

Guide data engineers and analysts through technical mentoring, reviews, and architectural alignment.

Innovation & Enablement

Champion the adoption of modern data practices, automation, and self-service analytics enablement.

Drive PoCs and accelerators to integrate AI/ML-ready data architectures.

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to future-proof the data ecosystem.

Skills

Must have

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

8-12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.

Proven experience in Microsoft Fabric implementation, including Fabric Pipelines, Notebooks, and Power BI integration.

Strong command of SQL, PySpark, and Python for data transformation and orchestration.

Experience leading data source integrations and application data flow design discussions.

Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and data modeling (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault).

Deep understanding of data governance, cataloguing, and data quality frameworks.

Prior exposure to enterprise-scale integrations involving ERP/CRM platforms (Oracle, Dynamics).
