Data Architect | Majid Al Futtaim Properties

ROLE SUMMARY

The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management’s data landscape. This role is responsible for defining and aligning the data technology strategy, overseeing enterprise architecture, and designing a unified application and data ecosystem across the organization.

ROLE PROFILE

• Develop and communicate a clear, enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with business and innovation goals.
• Evaluate digital maturity, identify capability gaps, and drive a transformation roadmap toward a fully digital operating model.
• Champion adoption of emerging technologies (AI, cloud, automation) to accelerate business performance.
• Establish and lead enterprise architecture covering data, applications, technology, and business processes.
• Guide cross-functional alignment through capability modeling, value stream mapping, and strategic scenario planning.
• Develop a unified data architecture and modelling framework to support scalable analytics and AI use cases.
• Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, standards, and privacy policies.
• Ensure compliance with Majid Al Futtaim-wide data handling policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee development of modern, cloud-based data integration pipelines and infrastructure.
• Act as a strategic advisor to business teams, translating data needs into technical solutions.
• Support delivery of analytics and automation solutions that generate measurable impact.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience in technology, data, or architecture leadership roles
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience in solution development (e.g., application architecture, middleware, data platforms).
• Strong understanding of modern technology ecosystems: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, microservices, APIs, open data, SOA, event-driven architecture, and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in data modeling, integration, governance, and quality management at scale.
• Exceptional communicator—able to translate complex technical topics for both technical and business stakeholders.
