Duties and Responsibilities
1. Analyze user requirements and current operational procedures to improve Business Intelligence and Reporting applications and interfaces.
2. Interact appropriately with clients to assist with the installation, configuration, training, operation, customization, and troubleshooting of the Business Intelligence and Reporting.
3. Knowledge of ETL, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence tools, technologies, architecture in order to support the development of client reports, dashboard and interfaces.
4. Install, configure, upgrade and tune Business Intelligence and ETL software to ensure that the tools functions optimally.
5. Create adequate documentation of interfaces, reports and applications.
6. Demonstrates a commitment to Loyola’s mission and vision by supporting the ITS core values of service excellence for university strategic initiatives and continuous development/improvement.
7. Proactively manages change through existing change management processes.
8. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and three to five years of related work experience.

Computer Skills
  • Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and tools with minimum 1-2 years of SQL development.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and design.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, techniques and tools used for Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Reporting (such as SSRS, SSAS)
  • Knowledge of BI tools (such as WebFocus, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (such as SSIS)
