Data Architecture Specialist

Responsibilities


  • Participate in Developing, recommending & implementing the data architecture framework, guidelines, processes, procedures & controls for data warehouse, operational data repository & BI data marts.
  • Perform the day-to-day activities and ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Support the Business Data Architecture section in the development and evolution of the Data Architecture practice, while overseeing the development of our evolving data architecture standards.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the data architecture framework needed for future projects and the growth of the RB business.
  • Use the business requirements to develop a detailed architecture design for the changes and enhancements required for the RB overall Data Architecture.
  • Develop and document an architecture framework that outlines the structure, content, metadata, planned changes, enhancements, known data quality problems, master data definitions tables and all relevant technical information about the current systems.
  • Direct the resolution of specific data architecture issues as they arise with a focus on proactive identification of issues and their resolution to minimize negative impacts to the business.
  • Develop Conceptual, Logical and where appropriate Physical data models’ necessary to support business initiatives.
  • Design and develop Dimensional data models for BI & analytics.
  • Create and maintain the documentation of standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with all BIM team members to provide assistance, and identify any data design problems that should be addressed.
  • Work closely with all EDMO sections to coordinate effort and ensure the development and compliance with standards and models.
  • Assess the impact of introduced changes to people, process and systems and develop relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Prepare a timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management System or Computer Science with preferably Master degree in MIS.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in management in general.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Architect role in particular.
  • Language: English: Advanced.

  • In depth knowledge of Data architectural frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of the Bank’s regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Conceptual & Logical data models for financial industry.
  • Understanding of the Bank’s strategy, objectives.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Understanding and experience applying data architecture principles such as Data Management, Lifecycle, Governance, Quality, Metadata management, Master data management, security, Integration, data migration, ETL, Business intelligence, data analytics, storage, etc.
  • Understanding of Data integration, data management technologies, data warehousing technologies, and database technologies.
