As a Data Assurance Analyst, you will be the hands-on guardian of this trust. While the Lead designs the strategy, you are responsible for the holistic execution across our Medallion architecture.

You won’t just be "checking boxes"; you will be thinking critically about how data flows from source to insight, ensuring that every transformation maintains the integrity required for high-stakes financial services environments.

Your responsibilities as the Data Assurance Analyst include;

• Deploying Soda Core checks across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, analysing how quality at the source impacts downstream AI and analytics.
• Performing rigorous source-to-target reconciliation and checksums to ensure no "silent failures" occur during complex AWS Glue or Data Factory migrations.
• Maintaining data quality scorecards within OpenMetadata and support the operationalization of Data Contracts between producers and consumers.
• Monitoring automated alerts, perform initial root-cause analysis on data drift or schema failures, and collaborate with squads to implement permanent countermeasures.
• Maintaining "human-centric" runbooks and documentation that make data quality standards accessible to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Working alongside Data Engineering squads to embed automated validation checks into existing live data flows.

What we need from you:

• 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or specialized Data QA roles.
• Practical understanding of Lakehouse architectures and the Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) design pattern.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation and script automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (specifically S3, Glue, and Athena) or similar cloud data stacks.
• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• The ability to look beyond a failed check to understand the root cause and its broader business impact.
• An uncompromising eye for data accuracy, ensuring that referential integrity and checksums are perfectly aligned.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments using Jira and participating actively in Scrum ceremonies.
• The ability to communicate technical issues clearly and constructively, fostering a culture of quality within the engineering team.

It would also be great if you have:

• Experience in a client-facing environment, with the ability to articulate the "why" behind data assurance to various stakeholders.
• Prior exposure to OpenMetadata or other lineage and metadata management tools.
• A proactive drive to identify repetitive tasks and develop scripts to increase team efficiency.
• Familiarity with the specific data challenges found within the Financial Services or Banking sectors.
