As a Data Center Construction Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in one of the most ambitious infrastructure initiatives in the country: building the largest data center in the United States. Requirements:
- Must be proficient and well-practiced in leveraging information and data in making informed decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of Safety protocols, processes and procedures.
- Deep understanding of industry specific estimating and engineering best practices.
- Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices.
- Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.
- Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting.
- Able to report and read out project information to all stakeholders as needed or required.
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively present to small and large groups.
- Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.
- Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems, conflicts, and issues.
Proficient in using a computer and business / industry applications - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Construction Management, Engineering or other related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the construction industry in a management or leadership role. Experience overseeing and managing large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred.
- Experienced in managing all contracting and project delivery methods - lump sum / fixed price, cost plus, GMP, unit price / rate, design-build, time and material.
- Preferred professional certifications:
- OSHA-30 Hour certification (if not certified at time of hire, certifications must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment)
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
- BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM)
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
