Clemson University's CCIT Division is looking for a Data Center Engineer to fulfill the following duties:
40% - Essential - Design and Manage Equipment:
Design and manages all electrical and mechanical cooling equipment in the CCIT date centers. Responsible for recognizing cooling problems and failures, initiating contacts with vendors to obtain repair parts/warranty work. Conduct/schedule/assist with require repairs on all systems, including communication of downtime to administrators involved.
25% - Essential - System Maintenance:
Receive, configure, monitor and maintain power generation and delivery systems in all CCIT data centers.
15% - Essential - Electrical Engineering Support:
Provide electrical engineering support to hardware engineers and hosted/co-location customers; collaborate with other personnel and organizations to establish relationships to enhance service and customer support.
10% - Essential - Planning:
Participate in strategic planning and initiatives for data center power, cooling and monitoring of infrastructure systems.
10% - Essential - On-Call Rotation:
Serve as a member of an on-call rotation that provides 24x7 support with rapid response requirements.
Education - Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture or engineering technology
Work Experience - Entry-level engineering or architectural work experience
Education - Bachelor's Degree; 6+ years of closely related work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience - Electrical Engineer or related field and experience in mechanical/electrical systems. 2+ Years in closely related field

Expected Salary Range ($ 57,700.00 - $ 103,900.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
