What You'll Do:

• Safety is E2 Optics' number one Core Value. All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
• Follow safe work practices and company/client worksite policies
• Assist the project team with installation activities as needed
• Proactively maintain jobsite organization and basic housekeeping: organize materials, tools, and equipment; collect debris; and ensure hazardous conditions are promptly addressed
• Learn to read and interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
• Learn about the different materials and methodologies involved in the installation of a structured cabling system
• Seek to understand a task and ask relevant questions before beginning it
• Maintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements
• Exhibit and maintain a professional appearance and behavior
• This position is generally expected to require minimal overnight travel (5%) in certain regions, but could require frequent (50%+) overnight and extended out-of-town travel in others. The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics
• Additional Responsibilities: As identified and assigned

What We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required
• OSHA 10 certification required within the first two weeks in the role
• Experience working in structured cabling or a related industry/construction
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Ability to distinguish color codes

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The standard work environment for this position includes both indoor business office settings and construction environments. The noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet. The employee must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies), if required. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
