Data Center Network Engineer

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Network Engineer to join our team on site and be responsible for responsible for the installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of data center infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and compliance with service and safety standards. The role involves hands-on technical support, preventive maintenance, fault resolution, and coordination with internal teams and vendors to support mission-critical environments.

Key responsibilities

· Operate, monitor, and maintain data center infrastructure including power, cooling, racks, containment, and monitoring systems.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with approved schedules and procedures.

· Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests to ensure minimum downtime and SLA compliance.

· Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new data center equipment and systems.

· Conduct routine inspections, health checks, and reporting on infrastructure performance.

· Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for maintenance and repair activities.

· Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and operational procedures within the data center environment.

· 24/7 Data Center monitoring and NOC operations support

· Data Center network configuration and troubleshooting (switches, routers, firewalls, ELV)

· DCIM server health checking, maintenance, patching, and upgrades

· NetBotz configuration, monitoring, and alert management

· Rack-level infrastructure monitoring (power, cooling, environmental alerts)

· Incident management, root cause analysis, and reporting

· Coordination with vendors for hardware replacement, software upgrade and preventive maintenance

· Documentation of network diagrams and configurations.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

· 3–6 years of experience in data center operations, facilities, or infrastructure roles.

· Strong knowledge of data center power and cooling systems including UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, and PDUs.

· Experience with preventive maintenance and fault troubleshooting.

· Ability to work in shifts or on-call rotations as required.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Strong knowledge of Data Center infrastructure and monitoring

· Network configuration and troubleshooting skills

· ELV system configuration experience (CCTV, access control, environmental monitoring systems, etc.)

· Hands-on experience in server health checking, maintenance, and upgradation

· Experience with DCIM tools and monitoring platforms

· Knowledge of NOC operations and incident handling

Preferred qualifications

· Experience working in Tier III / Tier IV data center environments.

· Knowledge of Uptime Institute, TIA-942, or similar data center standards.

· Vendor certifications related to data center infrastructure systems.

· Experience supporting SLA-driven service environments.
