Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Collection Engineer to support large-scale pavement evaluation and road asset management projects. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for field-based data acquisition using advanced automated pavement survey systems, ensuring accuracy, calibration compliance, and adherence to QA/QC standards.

This role requires strong technical coordination, field management capability, and familiarity with automated infrastructure survey technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pavement and road asset data collection using automated survey systems
• Perform equipment calibration, system checks, and validation before mobilization.
• Plan survey routes, prepare KML files, and define survey ID structures.
• Maintain daily survey logs, checklists, and progress tracking sheets.
• Ensure strict compliance with QA/QC protocols during field operations.
• Coordinate with traffic authorities and project teams for smooth data collection execution.
• Ensure secure handling and transfer of collected datasets to processing teams.
• Monitor field safety and ensure operational compliance with project standards.

Technical Skills Required

• Understanding of pavement engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with automated pavement data collection technologies.
• Knowledge of survey planning and route optimization.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation procedures.
• Basic GIS knowledge (KML, coordinate systems, mapping tools).
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Experience in road projects or pavement condition surveys.
