Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and efficient data systems that power critical business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build and optimize data storage solutions to support analytical and operational workloads.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across all systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for large-scale data workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data infrastructure issues proactively.
• Implement best practices in data security, compliance, and performance optimization.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data engineering.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL for database querying and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and cataloging practices.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, or similar).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Experience with real-time streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic understanding of machine learning pipelines.
