Job Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, implement, and support data integration solutions for our enterprise data warehouse. This role involves developing robust ETL pipelines, managing PL/SQL procedures, collaborating with business stakeholders, and ensuring the stability and performance of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Informatica, PL/SQL, Python, and Linux/Unix environments, along with the ability to support mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to load data from multiple source systems into the enterprise data warehouse.
- Stored Procedure Management: Create, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures to support business needs and improve query performance.
- Informatica Development: Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize Informatica ETL workflows, including large-volume file processing and integrations.
- Ad-Hoc Data Requests: Support the Risk Department (Credit and Market Risk) by designing ETL solutions and delivering datasets as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Credit and Market Risk teams to gather requirements, implement changes, and streamline workflows.
- Scripting & Automation: Use Python for automation and file handling; develop and maintain Linux/Unix shell scripts for operational tasks.
- Server Administration: Perform routine server patching and maintenance for both Linux and Windows servers to ensure stability and security.
- Operational Support: Provide 24/7 production support for ETL pipelines, monitoring performance, and resolving issues promptly.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, workflows, and system configurations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (or similar ETL tools).
- Proficiency in PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling.
- Experience managing large data volumes with performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data handling.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting and administration.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server patching/maintenance.
- Ability to provide 24/7 production support in a mission-critical environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience working with Risk Management (Credit/Market Risk) teams is a plus.
