Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing performance, and managing database objects to support business applications and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support applications and reporting.
• Analyze and tune slow-performing queries to improve system performance and responsiveness.
• Assist in designing and updating database schemas, tables, relationships, and indexes to support evolving business requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement database solutions accordingly.
• Support basic ETL processes using tools such as SSIS, ensuring reliable and timely data movement.
• Document database structures, SQL logic, and processes for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and participate in data migration efforts as needed.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in SQL Server (T-SQL), including query development, performance tuning, and stored procedure creation.
• Solid understanding of database structures, normalization, and relational data modeling.
• Experience with indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS (basic to intermediate level).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts is an advantage but not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs250,000.00 per month
