Data Engineer

Intrepid Prosperity seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain enterprise-scale data infrastructure for a high-priority U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) program at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. You'll design and optimize ETL pipelines, manage data lakes, and ensure data security and compliance in a classified environment. This role is central to the program's data modernization strategy and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ETL pipelines using Apache Spark, Hadoop, and NoSQL databases

• Build and maintain data lakes on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Cloud Pak)

• Optimize database performance and implement scalable SQL/NoSQL solutions

• Implement data stewardship policies, metadata management, and data governance

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and DevSecOps teams to operationalize analytics

• Document data architectures and create runbooks for operations teams

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance (non-negotiable)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years of data engineering experience with ETL/ELT tools

• Proficiency in SQL and at least one NoSQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)

• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and/or Hadoop

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)

• DoD or classified program experience

• Experience with data governance frameworks and data stewardship

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

• Agile development experience
