Responsibilities

Transform and normalize data from flat files (CSV, TXT, fixed-width, delimited) into structured, import-ready formats for target systems

Design and implement data mapping logic to support migration from legacy platforms, accounting for client-specific variations and constraints

Build and optimize advanced Excel solutions (Power Query, complex formulas) to reshape, cleanse, and validate datasets

Analyze, construct, and validate XML-based data structures aligned to target schemas and platform requirements

Translate legacy data into structured schemas while ensuring compliance with validation rules and system limitations

Assess vendor platform constraints to determine automation feasibility, recommending fully automated, semi-automated, or manual solutions

Perform data profiling, gap analysis, and risk assessment to identify inconsistencies and ensure data integrity

Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation including mapping matrices, file inventories, transformation logic, and assumptions

Create and maintain reusable artifacts to support repeatable and scalable data migration processes

Develop lightweight automation or scripts (e.g., Python) to streamline data transformation and reduce manual effort

Support ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and validating large datasets

Interpret and map financial data elements including ACH, wire payments, and related configurations (recipients, templates, entitlements)

Collaborate on platform migrations, including Q2, Fiserv, or similar systems, ensuring accurate data conversion and validation
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field

1–2 years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data transformation

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week

Ability to work full time without sponsorship now or in the future

Experience working with flat files (CSV, TXT, fixed-width, delimited) and performing data cleansing and restructuring

Proficiency in Excel, including Power Query and advanced formulas

Basic understanding of data mapping, normalization, and transformation concepts

Familiarity with XML or other structured data formats

Hands on Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake expeirence

Ability to analyze data, identify gaps, and support data migration or integration efforts
-
Strong attention to detail with the ability to document processes and communicate findings clearly

Exposure to scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python) is a plus

Financial services experience a strong plus
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
