Sr. Manager, Decision Analytics - AI Strategy & Transformation

Position Purpose:

The AI Strategy & Transformation Lead is responsible for driving execution of the Enterprise “Project Orion” strategy, including Enterprise Data Products, GenBI, and Semantic / Intelligence Layers, while supporting and accelerating AI adoption within the Decision Analytics organization. This role acts as a horizontal integrator and operator, ensuring work across teams is aligned, clearly articulated, and tied to business value. In addition to the Project Orion focus, this role is expected to help accelerate organizational impact by building programs that upskill the organization, capture and celebrate value, and create a single, cohesive view of priorities across the organization.

The successful candidate will possess a deep working knowledge of Data Science, including an understanding of GenBI and AI applications and agentic workflows, along with a passion for technology, analytics, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• 60% Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to deliver high quality analytics solutions
• 25% Data analytics with large volumes of data, using a wide variety of database applications / analytical tools including SQL, SAS, R, and python
• 5% Data cleansing, validation, testing
• 5% Enhancements / modifications to systems & procedures
• 5% Supporting end users, problem solving, troubleshooting

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• Reports to a Director.
• This position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years working in Data Science and Analytics or consulting in similar spaces with a strong working and/or applied knowledge in Data Science, Analytics, AI (GenBI) or similar
• Strong business acumen, experience in Retail is a strong plus and ability to assess business impacts & value
• Proven ability to work autonomously & create value in an unstructured & evolving role
• Proven ability to distill complex concepts for executive audiences
• Proven ability to manage & influence without authority
• Proven ability to build & execute on complex, cross-functional roadmaps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including a passion for PowerPoint / storytelling
• Passion for Data Science & Analytics and AI
