Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Database & Application Support Engineer to take ownership of our database environments and key business applications. This role serves as a vital technical interface between our business units, IT teams, and external providers, ensuring the stability, security, and optimization of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Administration: Manage and operate Microsoft SQL Server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• System Stability: Lead the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of managed database systems to ensure high performance and security.
• Technical Advisory: Consult on database architectures, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Incident & Problem Management: Act as the primary point of contact for complex escalations, handling 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support where necessary.
• Optimization & Analysis: Analyze requirements to implement performance improvements and create reports/dashboards for management and controlling purposes.
• Collaboration: Coordinate changes and requirements between internal departments and external application vendors.
• ITSM Roles: Participate in defined IT Service Management roles, including Incident, Problem, and Change Manager.
• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to information security requirements and legal regulations.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Certification: ITILv4 Foundation certification is required.
• Database Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft Power BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
• Solid understanding of IT fundamentals across infrastructure, networking, and hardware.
• Experience : up to 2 years of experience required.
• Languages: Fluency in English (minimum B1).
• MCSA certification for Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent database certifications.
• Practical experience with cloud architectures, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS.
