ITCON Services is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and data marts supporting USDA FPAC mission reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and loading workflows.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and integration services.
• Implement source-to-target mappings and business transformation logic.
• Support data warehouse and data mart development activities.
• Troubleshoot production data pipeline failures and data quality issues.
• Develop automated testing and validation checks for data movement processes.
• Support deployment, change management, and operational maintenance activities.
• Document pipeline designs, operational procedures, and technical artifacts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• Hands-on SQL and data integration experience.
• Experience with cloud or enterprise data platforms and scripting languages such as Python.
• Public Trust eligibility.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks, DataStage, SSIS, AWS, Azure, Cloudera, Tableau, or Oracle Analytics.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automated testing practices.
• USDA or federal civilian agency experience.
