Data Engineer - Remote

We are looking for an experienced Remote Data Engineer to join a well- known Islamic Bank in Bahrain for 6 Month project to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms supporting digital banking and AI-driven initiatives. The candidate will play a key role in developing data pipelines, managing large-scale data environments, and enabling advanced analytics and machine learning use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for AI and banking initiatives
• Collaborate with data scientists to prepare and transform data for model training and analytics
• Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouse solutions
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms
• Integrate data from core banking systems, digital channels, and external sources
• Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
• Support real-time and batch data processing using modern frameworks
• Implement data governance policies and metadata management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7–10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the banking sector is preferred
