As a Data Engineering Consultant, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This role emphasizes the integration of Azure Databricks, Azure Cloud services, and Snowflake, along with advanced AI/ML capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Copilot Studio. The ideal candidate will have a Solid foundation in data engineering, cloud platforms, and a passion for building intelligent, automated, and data-driven systems.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks
  • Implement data processing workflows and ETL processes on Azure Cloud
  • Integrate and manage data within Snowflake for efficient storage and retrieval
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance and reliability
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud technologies
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate machine learning models into data pipelines for predictive analytics and automation
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of ML models using tools like MLflow, Azure ML, or Databricks ML
  • Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to build intelligent data solutions, including prompt engineering and API-based integration
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot Studio to create conversational AI experiences that enhance data accessibility and user interaction
  • Embed LLMs into development pipelines using secure API integration, context management, and governance best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a Solid foundation in cloud-based data platforms and AI/ML integration
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark
  • Cloud & Big Data: Proven experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Cloud services, and Snowflake
  • Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed data processing
  • ETL & Data Pipelines: Experience with ETL tools and building scalable, reliable data pipelines
  • SQL & Databases: Solid SQL skills and familiarity with relational and cloud-native databases
  • AI/ML Integration: Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • LLMs: Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI), including prompt design, fine-tuning, and secure integration into data workflows
  • Copilot Studio: Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio for building and deploying conversational AI solutions
  • Model Lifecycle: Understanding of ML model lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Communication Skills: Solid communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and business teams
  • Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Azure or related technologies
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Exposure to data governance, security, and compliance practices in enterprise environments
