Overview:
The Manager, Data Platform is responsible for leading and scaling our data platform team in Bangalore. This role is critical to building and maintaining a robust, secure, and scalable data infrastructure that powers our healthcare SaaS solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and performance across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and platform specialists.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for the data platform aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for data architecture, governance, security, and automation.

Platform Development & Operations

  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
  • Drive the creation and deployment of scalable data lakes and advanced analytics platforms to enable enterprise-wide insights.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of data infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies for data systems.
  • Own and drive the resolution of technical debt to support delivery and long-term product health

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with product, engineering and operations teams to support data-driven features and analytics.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure adherence to healthcare data regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data platform.
  • Optimize cost and performance of cloud-based data solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 11–14 years of total experience in software engineering including 8+ years in data engineering or platform roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in building and managing large-scale data platforms in a SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL workflows, and distributed computing architectures.
  • Hands-on and proficient in SQL and Python, with expertise in big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
  • Extensive experience with modern data technologies and orchestration tools, such as Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS services.
  • Experience working with a distributed development team and demonstrated knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology
  • Ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills and the ability to interface with leaders and staff at both an individual and group level

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for building scalable, secure, and innovative data solutions.
  • Experience in building self-service analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines and MLOps.
  • Prior experience in a product-led or SaaS company.
