Role Overview

The Data Entry Executive – Cricket is responsible for accurately recording, updating, and maintaining cricket-related data in company databases and software systems. The role ensures correctness, speed, and consistency in capturing cricket match details, statistics, and player information for analysis, reports, and content creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter ball-by-ball data from live cricket matches into the system.
• Update match scorecards, player statistics, and team information.
• Verify and cross-check cricket data received from analysts, scorers, or external sources.
• Maintain databases of tournaments, fixtures, schedules, and player profiles.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of stored cricket data.
• Assist in preparing statistical reports, dashboards, and data summaries.
• Coordinate with commentary, analytics, and content teams for data requirements.
• Track historical cricket records and update archives as needed.
• Follow data entry SOPs and maintain confidentiality.
• Report errors, inconsistencies, or missing data to the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Good knowledge of cricket formats, rules, terminology, and scoring.
• Strong typing speed with high accuracy.
• Basic understanding of MS Excel, Google Sheets, or data entry software.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, especially during live matches.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in shifts if required (especially during match timings).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in data entry or scoring (cricket data preferred).
• Familiarity with cricket scoring platforms (Cricbuzz, Cricinfo, CricHeroes, etc.)
• Experience with database systems or sports analytics tools.
