We are looking for a Data Integration Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable data exchanges across Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms and connected healthcare systems. This role is critical in enabling seamless clinical and operational data flow, ensuring interoperability, compliance, and high data quality across enterprise healthcare environments.

You will work at the intersection of healthcare IT, engineering, and clinical operations to power reliable, standards-based integrations that directly support patient care and organizational efficiency.

What You’ll Own

Interoperability & Integration Delivery

Build and maintain robust integrations between EHR platforms and external healthcare applications.

Implement interoperability solutions using:

HL7 for clinical and administrative messaging

FHIR for modern, API-first data exchange

RESTful APIs for scalable system connectivity

Configure, test, and deploy integration workflows that ensure accurate and timely data movement.

Platform & Interface Management

Develop, support, and optimize enterprise interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, or Rhapsody.

Monitor integration performance and proactively resolve issues related to data flow, formatting, or system compatibility.

Ensure integrations meet reliability, scalability, and performance expectations.

Data Quality, Security & Compliance

Enforce healthcare data standards and interoperability best practices.

Maintain high levels of data integrity, consistency, and traceability across systems.

Partner with security and compliance teams to support HIPAA and enterprise data governance requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with engineering, analytics, product, and clinical stakeholders to translate business and clinical needs into technical integration solutions.

Support enhancements, upgrades, and onboarding of new systems or vendors into the integration ecosystem.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

EPIC certification in one or more relevant modules.

4+ years of experience in healthcare IT, interoperability, or EHR integration roles.

Deep hands-on experience with HL7 messaging and API-based integrations.

Working knowledge of FHIR standards and modern healthcare data exchange patterns.

Experience supporting large-scale EHR environments and enterprise integration engines.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Comfortable operating in complex, cross-functional healthcare environments.
