Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Managed Service

Service Purpose

Provide operational management of data protection controls to prevent unauthorized disclosure, transmission, or misuse of sensitive information across organizational systems, endpoints, and cloud environments.

Service Scope

The service includes the following activities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining Data Loss Prevention policies using Microsoft Purview across supported platforms including cloud applications, email systems, endpoints, Microsoft Fabric environments, and AI-enabled workloads.
• Configuring detection mechanisms using built-in rules, sensitive information types, and intelligent conditions to identify and prevent unauthorized data sharing.
• Integrating DLP policies with organizational data classification and sensitivity labeling frameworks.
• Ensuring that labeled content triggers appropriate DLP controls based on sensitivity level and usage context.
• Monitoring DLP alerts, user activities, and policy violations through Microsoft Purview dashboards and Activity Explorer.
• Supporting investigation of data protection incidents in coordination with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Reviewing sensitive content associated with alerts through authorized content inspection capabilities.
• Implementing and maintaining Endpoint DLP policies to prevent data exfiltration through removable media, printing activities, screen captures, and unauthorized applications.
• Monitoring device-level activities to ensure enforcement of unified DLP policies.
• Generating operational and compliance reports to evaluate DLP policy effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuously tuning DLP policies to reduce false positives while maintaining effective data protection.
• Processing and managing DLP-related service requests through the organization's Enterprise Management System (EMS).
