Data Management Expert

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Data Management Expert for one of our partners, a global leader in the IT Services and IT Consulting.

Job Summary:
A Data Management Expert focuses on building data pipelines to bring together information from different source systems and to integrate, consolidate and cleanse data and structure it for use in analytics applications. He works with both sides, the business side and the technical back-end side to understand business requirements and create and implement technical designs for them.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business analysts and functional support team to understand business requirements to provide timely assessments and create technical designs
• Partner with data stewards and analysts to provide summary results of data quality analysis to make decisions regarding how to measure business rules and quality of the data
• Responsible for translating functional ETL requirements into a technical design document and estimate the level of effort to implement enhancements
• Design the integration architecture of the solution
• Develop/Modify the ETL design, manage ETL development activities from inception to completion including interdependencies with other teams; review the ETL low-level design and design phase deliverables
• Manage the build phase and quality-assure the code to ensure that it meets requirements and adheres to standards.
• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and documenting data quality procedures / mappings and outputs that will run in a scheduled, batch, or real-time environment
• Develop mid-level to highly complex integrations in web API environment and build real-time data pipelines
• Performs mapping between source and target data, as well as performing logical model to physical model mapping and mapping from third normal form to dimensional (presentation layer)
• Plan and manage QA and Production releases and ensure they are deployed smoothly
• Providing technical guidance or solutions, define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team
• Provides knowledge transfer to other team members to ensure that knowledge is shared among the entire team
• Handles escalated project issues for the purpose of resolving them in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations
• Participate in regular agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, team backlog grooming, iteration retrospectives, team demos, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent
• 6-8 years of work experience
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving and skills
• Has mature written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
• Able to communicate to multiple levels of the organization, including stakeholders and third-party vendors, via phone, email, and chat.
• Experience managing team size of 2-3 would be a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others at all levels of technical understanding
• Able to handle multiple concurrent projects, with an ability to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
• Proven leadership skills (the ability to motivate a group of people to achieve a common goal)
• Demonstrated ability to focus on customer needs, business processes and relationships of customer data required
• Self-motivated and dedicated with the ability to triage and prioritize technical issues, work with service providers and team members to problem resolution
• Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and business processes and adapt to changing technology and priorities
• Experience in coordinating with data stewards and analysts to understand business requirements, functional requirements, and conversion of business rules into technical specifications
• Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Testing and Support of Data Warehousing and Data Integration Solutions and ETL data pipelines
• Master Data Management (MDM) Development experience
• Experience in various programming languages like Java and Python, orchestration tools and processes or other directly related experience.
• Hands on experience in database and table design, proficient in writing complex SQLs, expertise in performance tuning of SQLs
• Excellent knowledge of the Informatica platform as a whole and the integration among different Informatica components and services
• Knowledge of data analysis in AWS environment (Athena, Redshift, S3, Sagemaker, EMR)
• Strong knowledge of Python (Pandas, Numpy, Plotly, Pyspark, Sklearn)
• Strong knowledge of using Change Data Capture methodologies
• Knowledge of data analysis in Azure platform (Data Factory/Synapse/etc.)
• Experience working with Power BI in data analytics space.
• Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW & BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
• Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Modeling of Unstructured Data and business process relationships
• Experience with Big data technologies
• Good understanding of Data integration, Data quality paradigms and data governance/ data architecture concepts
• Working knowledge in handling various web services and APIs (Soap, REST)
• Working experience on Informatica Cloud Services (IDMC) development; Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), Cloud Data Quality CDQ and CDGC
• Experience in ETL design and development using Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality ,and Data Engineering using various transformations, and ETL design/development methodologies.
• Experience developing profiles and scripts for the execution and testing of mappings and workflows to implement data stewardship and exception processing
• Experience working in Agile framework and project management methodologies
• Full lifecycle project experience as a developer in designing and developing ETL jobs.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting, scheduling and orchestration tools and processes.
• Good understanding of XML/Json structures.
• Ability to mentor others, including peers and application developers, clearly explain complex technical issues to business analysts and end users
