Data Management Officer

Job Description:

The Data Management Officer is a pivotal role designed for a professional with 3-5 years of experience in data management within varied organizational environments. The successful candidate will possess solid expertise in creating, implementing, and supervising data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This individual will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to manage the flow of data, optimize data quality processes, and ensure users have access to reliable information. The Data Management Officer will play a crucial role in establishing documentation standards and practices for metadata and master data management, thereby enhancing the overall data integrity of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in data management, data governance, or data quality roles.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with data quality assessment methodologies and validation techniques.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to align data management practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant data protection regulations and best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive data management and data governance frameworks that align with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise the implementation of approved data governance practices, ensuring adherence across departments.
  • Build and maintain reference models for metadata and master data documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
